Year 4 have made an excellent start to the term and have been working incredibly hard across all areas of the curriculum. In maths, the children have been developing their understanding of place value and have been exploring the concept of multiplying by 10, building strong foundations for their mathematical learning this year. In English, we have focused on improving sentence structure and punctuation, and it has been wonderful to see the children's writing becoming increasingly accurate.
Our history topic this term has been the Anglo-Saxons, which the children have found fascinating. We have explored the famous legend of Beowulf, and the children have been captivated by this epic tale of heroes and monsters. They have shown great enthusiasm in learning about life in Anglo-Saxon Britain.
A reminder that homework is now set weekly on a Thursday and should be returned by the following Thursday. Please ensure your child completes their homework to the best of their ability, and do contact the Year 4 team if you have any questions or concerns.
Well done, Year 4 – keep up the fantastic work!
