1. INTRODUCTION SECTION
Why Is Careers Education Important?
It's never too early to start thinking about the future! Learning about different jobs helps children discover what they enjoy, build confidence in their abilities, and develop important life skills. By exploring careers at a young age, children can dream big and understand that anything is possible with curiosity, effort, and passion. Who knows? The next great scientist, artist or inventor could be right here in our school!
- "The best way to predict your future is to create it!" โ Abraham Lincoln.
- At Hillborough, we introduce children to various careers through the Skills Builder Programme, which develops key skills for future success. We follow the CEIAG guidelines, offering age-appropriate career education that links to local plans like Luton 2040. Children benefit from off-site visits, careers fairs and guest visits from professionals across different fields, giving them a broad view of potential careers. These activities inspire students to explore their interests and develop skills for their future.
