Aspiring to excellence
New term. New children. New staff (well... to Year 6!).
We have started as we mean to go on: thick and fast! Between Mrs Howes, Mr O and Mr Stevens all pupils have been welcomed and now are into the routine that we all know and love.
English has begun and studying Macbeth is truly underway! Our drama lessons (taught by Mrs Howes) are giving us the inspiration we need to write texts based on opening scenes and describing the hideous hags! Within Maths we are all focusing on number and place value for the first half term. This will give us the KEY foundation we need to move onto our next topics including algebra and ratio.
Key weekly dates:
- Tuesday and Thursday = PE kit needed.
- Thursday = English and Math homework set and due (unless told otherwise by teaching staff).
- Friday = Enrichment for the entire school.
We mentioned new staff (to Year 6). They include; the fantastic Miss Ward, the frantic Mrs Ledgard and the fabulous Mr Greene! Already they are proving brilliant for the pupils and are also friendly faces from previous years of Hillborough Junior School.
As a year group we have enjoyed a good start to the new academic year!
