Aspiring to excellence
This term has started off with lots of exciting learning in Year 3. Our geography theme, 'Where does our food come from?' has sparked lots of interesting conversation. The children have been busy making their own butter from cream in our English lessons on instructions: this is a really simple science experiment that you can try at home.
All three classes loved exploring our outdoor school environment- identifying all the crops that we grow here at school from their leaves. They were particularly impressed with the figs and grapes in the garden area, not to mention the chickens! We have continued to be busy in English, just like Mr Busy, studying the Mr Men and Little Miss book series by Roger Hargreaves. We have used these to help explore our feelings and emotions.
