Year 6 Remote Learning
Well it seems once again we are in a very strange learning environment!
Over the last couple of days, we have been putting together provisions to ensure that all pupils in Year 6 can continue learning remotely, being able to see and hear us teaching live.
From tomorrow (Wednesday 6th January) we expect all pupils to log onto Google Classroom and then Google Meets by 9:00am (we will open the Meets link from 8:45am). For the foreseeable, lessons will be delivered by a mixture of live teaching and prepared slides/activities which we feel will ensure that your child can learn to the best of their ability. Year 6 staff members will monitor your child’s attendance and engagement throughout every lesson.
Below is a timetable that outlines how the working school day will operate. You will notice that tomorrow’s first lesson is a welcome back talk and update where we hope to put pupils’ concerns at ease, remind pupils of expectations when they are working online, and clarify any questions pupils may have.

In addition to the timetabled lessons above, we will provide a P.E specific activity every day for the pupils to complete from 2:00 onwards.
As I am sure all parents and carers can appreciate, this is a challenging time for us all. As a school and a year group we are doing everything we can to provide an education that will best suit your child’s needs to progress. Things may indeed change. If they do, we ask for your patience while adjustments are made and where needed we will keep you informed of this.
Pupils have access to any of the year 6 staff via Google Classroom. We will endeavour to assist where we can as soon as possible. For any enquiries from yourselves, please contact the school directly during normal school operating hours.
Though challenging, we are looking forward to overcoming this challenge.
